HB 790 amends O.C.G.A. Article 2 of Chapter 10 of Title 16, relating to the transmittance of a false public alarm. It amends O.C.G.A § 16-10-28 by defining a critical infrastructure as “any building, place of assembly, or facility that is located in this state and necessary for national or public security, education, or public safety.” HB 790 also provides for the situation when one has committed the offense of knowingly and intentionally transmitting a false alarm, and specifies what the punishment shall be upon conviction.
